The Effectiveness of the Authority of the Industry Office in the Supervision and Control of Industries over Business Actors
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the legal issues and problems concerning the effectiveness of the authority of the Industry Office, as well as the obstacles encountered in the supervision and control of industry over business actors. This research employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The data sources were obtained from both library research and field research. The legal materials used consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, supported by field data to strengthen the analysis and arguments. The findings reveal several obstacles affecting the effectiveness of industrial supervision and control, including legal issues, institutional structure, facilities and infrastructure, as well as the legal culture of business actors. The study concludes that the Central Government should formulate technical regulations and harmonize as well as synchronize laws and regulations, both vertically and horizontally, in order to make the implementation of industrial supervision and control more effective.
